Another pleasant day. Had a visit from a dear friend. Barbara B. came to sit with me while J & B went on errands. It was the first time Barbara and I sat down just the two of us and visited for many years. We had a lot of catching up to do. The best part of our visit was talking about when we first met in the early 60s. We were neighbors. She is looking to buy up here and make this her home which will be good for me because I have not made too many friends as yet. Her children (all adults) call me Aunt Betty and that makes me very happy.
One day watching TV on a commerical I saw a gadget that I thought I just had to have. It is an Egg and Muffin cooker. You can poach an egg or soft boil an egg or hard boil 4 eggs and toast a Muffin or a slice of bread. I told Joann I just had to have one. That was one of the things she and Bill went looking for today. No store in town had them so off they went to another town and finally found it at Target.Â
They gave it to me as an early birthday gift. So right away I had to have a poached egg and I opted for a slice of toast. It works great. Maybe tomorrow I will hard boil a couple of eggs and make egg salad for lunch. Want to come over for lunch?
Then come evening Joann said she would love to go to the movies. We have heard so much about "Mama Mia" being such a good movie. It's showing at our little theater in town. So off she went. Bill and I stayed home to watch the game and then it was not televised up here.  I kept track of what was going on on the computer and would relay the scores to Bill who was doing some home work up stairs. Joann really enjoyed the movie. I will watch it when it comes to Blockbuster.Â
So you see I did not have to leave the house to have a "Good Day"! Hope yours was the same.
Love and prayers from here to there
